More than 500 Police personnel joined. New Delhi : Police as a profession is a stressful job wherein one requires being continuously alert & vigil while performing his/her duty. Police personnel mostly work for unspecified number of hours and keep juggling in day & night duty shifts leading to an imbalanced life. At times, due to heavy law & arrangement duties or emergency situations, Police personnel are deprived of timely meal or had to compromise with junk/unhealthy food as well as requisite sleeping hours during night. In a span of time this reflects on their medical or physical condition leading to various ailments such as abdominal obesity, high BP, cardio-vascular issues, diabetes etc. ‘A healthy mind lives in a healthy body’. South-East District has always adopted this and organized medication & yoga camps, medical-health check up camps, lectures on healthy life-style etc in the past. In the regular meetings and interaction with the field staff, Senior officers of the district motivate staff for healthy living & proper diet. Further, if any staff or his family member suffers from any ailment, all best possible medical assistance is provided to the concerned. In its continuous endeavor to ensure well being of the Police staff, on 07.09.19, Mega Health check up camps for Police personnel were organized in the South-East District. Six Mega Health check up camps were organized at Sub-Divisions Sarita Vihar, Lajpat Nagar, New Friends Colony, Kalkaji & Badarpur of the district.
