PUBLIC FACILITATION KIOSK WITH INTERACTIVE PANEL INAUGURATION AT TERMINAL-2 OF IGI AIRPORT, NEW DELHI

Today on 11/09/2019 Sh. Amulya Patnaik, Commissioner of Police Delhi, in the presence of Sh. Praveer Ranjan, Special Commissioner of Police, Int. & Transport and  Sh. Videh Kr. Jaipuriar, CEO DIAL inaugurated Public Facilitation Kiosk having Interactive Panel at Arrival Forecourt of T-2, IGI Airport, Delhi.

New Delhi : After successful commissioning of interactive panels at AIIMS, Khan Market and Terminal-3 IGI Airport, Interactive Panel having all online citizen services provided by Delhi Police started functioning today at Terminal-2 of IGI Airport, New Delhi. IGI Airport Delhi is one of the busiest airports in the world with a record footfall. In an endeavor to make life simpler for the passengers and travelers, earlier the Delhi Police of IGI Airport Unit had switched to e-reporting by installing a Delhi Police Facilitation Kiosk and Interactive Panel at forecourt of T-3 terminal at IGI Airport.

The services in this Hi-tech police facilitation kiosk are available 24X7 to the public and is also manned by the dedicated police facilitations officers round the clock for assistance. This facility has proved to be a great success and till date approximately 800 passengers have availed the facility of interactive panel at Terminal-3, IGI Airport. This easy to use interactive panel is user friendly and is saving precious time of the passengers as they don’t have to walk up to Police Station for any assistance.

After positive response from the passengers at Terminal-3, Delhi Police Facilitation Kiosk and Interactive panel has been commissioned today at Terminal-2 of IGI Airport. The refurbished Terminal-2 started its operation in 2017 and it has facilities similar to any world class Terminal. As Terminal-1 is currently under renovation, numbers of flight have been shifted to T-2 from T-1. At present, Terminal-2 handles as many as 220 flights daily resulting in a footfall of more than 50,000 persons per day. In order to provide police services to the public at Terminal 2, interactive panel has been installed. The idea behind the commissioning of this kiosk is to provide better police related services at one point without requiring public to search and go to the police station and thereby saving vital time of the passengers.

This interactive panel installed at Arrival Forecourt of T-2, IGI Airport is having the following online citizen services provided by Delhi Police :-

  • Lost & Found Report
  • Missing Report
  • Registration of e-FIR
  • Lodging of complaints
  • MV Theft e-FIR
  • Theft e-FIR
  • Reporting of Economic & Cyber offences
  • Police Clearance Certificate
  • Character Verification Report
  • Missing/Stolen Mobile Phone Report
  • Filing of RTI etc.

The function was also attended by Sh. Atul Katiyar, Joint Commissioner of Police, Transport Range and other dignitaries and guest from GMR, Aerocity, Air force, Customs, Airlines, CISF, NSG etc apart from media and the officers of Delhi Police.
