Amulya Patnaik, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Delhi, in Dwarka for the inauguration of “Public Facilitation Kiosk”, “Community Policing Vehicle” and digital verification application “PARAKH” along with “Neighbourhood Watch Scheme” in four societies. “Best Secured Society” in Dwarka Sub-City awarded.Sh. Amulya Patnaik, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Delhi along with Sh. S. Nithianandam, IPS, Spl. CP/P&L, Sh. R.S. Krishnia, IPS, Spl.CP/L&O(South), Sh. Satish Golchha, IPS, Spl.CP/L&O (North) and Smt. Shalini Singh, IPS Jt.CP/Western Range visited the National Law University, Dwarka on 15th December, 2019 to interact with the residents of Dwarka Sub-City and also to felicitate the Best Secured Society and DDA Pocket at National Law University, Sector-14, Dwarka.Prior to the event at the National Law University, the Commissioner of Police, Delhi inaugurated “Public Facilitation Kiosk” at Sector-10 Market in Dwarka. The purpose of opening the Facilitation Kiosk is to provide round-the clock-access to online services to the residents of Dwarka like lodging of complaints, filing of e-FIR, submission of tenant verification forms etc. The kiosk is connected to the main server of the Delhi Police and will be manned by technical staff all the time.A multi-utility Communication Vehicle for Community Policing was also flagged off by the CP, Delhi. The vehicle is fitted with CCTV/IP Cameras in front & back, digital display of different initiatives launched by Delhi Police like Himmat Plus, Shashakti, Nukkar Natak etc. The vehicle has Public Address (PA) System, a foldable stage, can be used to monitor and control crowd, while the IP cameras installed will telecast/record the live happening/incidents.Thereafter, CP, Delhi visited the National Law University where a interaction on “Safety and Security of Women in Dwarka” took place between panelists, drawn from various segments of the society, public from Dwarka and senior dignitaries of the Delhi Police. The main theme of the interaction was to strengthen the Safety and Security of Women in Dwarka.In order to strengthen the security system in Dwarka District, a Security Audit of all the societies and DDA pockets were extensively carried out by the Screening Committee constituting media, NGOs and intellectuals residing in Dwarka under the chairmanship of Shri P.K. Bhardwaj, (Retd. IPS). Dwarka Sub-City is comprises of 402 societies & 52 DDA pockets, out of which total 271 societies/DDA pockets participated in this endeavor. The screening committee shortlisted and visited all the societies/DDA pockets and after evaluating the requisite parameters, successfully identified the Best Secured Society/DDA pocket and the same was felicitated by CP, Delhi.The Ispatika Apartments, Sector-4, Dwarka has secured the award of Best Secured Society, Beverly Park Apartments, Sector-22 remained the 1st Runner Up while Mansarovar Apartments, Sector-5, Dwarka secured the award of 2nd Runner Up. Among the DDA Pockets, Gangotri Apartments, Sector-12 secured the award of Best Secured DDA Pocket while Sanskriti Apartment remained the 1st Runner Up.All these initiatives have been taken to strengthen the safety of residents of Dwarka and to further expand the relationship between police & public.The Dwarka District is determined to take numerous steps for the safety of public and in this endeavor; a Neighborhood Watch Scheme has been promulgated in four societies of the sub-city, which have been officially inaugurated by the worthy CP, Delhi.The Dwarka district has also made Door to Door verification/navigated layout of the buildings and the residents living thereof. The verification has been carried out in 74 out of the 104 beats in 09 Police Stations of Dwarka District and the data has been digitally procured. A Digital Verification App “PARAKH” has been developed for effective and smooth verification which has the following features:Verify buildings & upload building picturesMark layout of buildingsNavigate to building through Google MapsAdd owner/tenant at floor/room levelAdd family membersAdd photos & multiple ID proofsFlag & Create database of ‘BAD CHARACTERS’Track bad characters quickly & easilyAnalyze verified & unverified buildingsDetailed reporting through dashboardThe initiatives taken by the Dwarka District police were appreciated not only by the residents of Dwarka but also got laurels from the CP, Delhi. The interaction of residents with CP, Delhi remained interactive and enriching.The panelists drawn from various segments of the society along with the residents took active participation in the discussion where problems faced by the residents of Dwarka and the solutions thereof were discussed at length.The safety and security of the residents was thoroughly discussed. The efforts taken in regards of safety and security of residents by the RWAs in gated societies/DDA Pockets were appreciated by CP, Delhi to such extent that he is of considered view that the gated societies be regarded as an example to be followed by others.It has been assured to the residents that their security & safety will continue to be the first and foremost duty of police. The CP, Delhi appreciated the inauguration of Public Facilitation Desk/Community Policing Vehicle and launching of Digital Verification App PARAKH, stating them to be a milestone in providing facility/security to the residents of Dwarka by the Delhi Police. The security measures in Dwarka have been appreciated to be in proximity with the globally recognized levels.
