VICTIM SAFELY RESCUED FROM THE CUSTODY OF KIDNAPPERS. RS. 5 LAC DEMANDED AS RANSOM FROM FATHER-IN-LAW OF THE VICTIM. CAR USED FOR KIDNAPPING, 8 MOBILE PHONES, ONE DUMMY PISTOL, RANSOM MONEY, LAPTOP OF VICTIM AND SOME OTHER ARTICLES RECOVERED . KIDNAPPERS MADE A GANG OF SPECIAL 6 AND WERE INSPIRED FROM THE MOVIE “SPECIAL 26”. BRIEF FACTS:- On 24.11.2020, a report of missing was lodged by Sh. Durgesh Kumar Shukla, regarding missing of his son-in-law namely Gyaneshwar Shukla. Later on Sh. Durgesh Kumar Shukla received ransom call of Rs. 5 Lac. Hence a case of kidnapping for ransom vide FIR No. 523/2020 u/s 364-A/365/368/386/506/34 IPC was registered at PS Mandawali and investigation was taken up in right earnest. INVESTIGATION:- To solve the case immediately a team of PS Mandawali led by Inspr. Prashant Kumar, SHO/Mandawali, SI Sanjeet Kumar, HC Sachin Singh , HC Prem Pal and Ct. Deepak under the closed supervision of Dr. Sachin Kumar Singhal, IPS, ACP/Mayur Vihar was constituted in the name of “Operation Gyan”. Sincere and continuous efforts were started to recover the victim and to arrest the accused person. To find any clue about the kidnappers CCTV footage of several cameras and CDRs were analyzed. The team was very near to arrest the accused and regularly conducted raids at hideouts of kidnappers. On suspicion of arrest the kidnappers released the victim safely. Since the identity of kidnappers was completely blind, the teams worked hard ceaselessly to unearth the entire racket. The team camped in jungle and area of Okhla in difficult conditions to make the operation successful. Gradually, it emerged that the kidnappers were based in Okhla Ph-3 and were changing their locations frequently. The kidnappers used the victim’s phone to make calls for the ransom amount and had switched off to evade surveillance. When no hope remained to found the accused person on the basis of electronic surveillance then a network of local intelligence was created and concentrate on human intelligence. The team stationed in various places in Okhla, Jamia Nagar and Sangam Vihar were continuously alert and on watch of criminal elements and suspicious persons. Some very promising leads started coming but could not materialize since the kidnappers were continuously and quickly changing the locations. After getting certain clues from CCTV Footages and CDRs several raids were conducted and four accused nabbed from Shyam Nagar, Okhla Ph-3 and Harkesh Nagar. Interrogation/Modus Operandi:-On sustained interrogation accused disclosed that king pin of entire conspiracy was Rajkumar Chauhan @ Sonu and his brother Rahul. For several months, they had planning to execute a fool-proof ransom operation wherein their identities would remain hidden. They were very sure that their identities would remain secret and used to say that it will ever remain a mystery as who they are. They had taken great pains to plan each and every step meticulously, exploiting the some documents were prepared by them to execute the plan. They made a gang in the name of “Special Six” consisting Rahul, Rajkumar Chauhan, Gaurav, Santosh, Pradeep and Ramtej after being inspired from a Bollywood Movie “Special 26”. They watched the movie many times and various episodes of Crime Patrol. Most of the accused are the part of a Local News Channel “NSP News”. They had identified an abandoned flat of G B Pant Polytechnic to conceal the victim. On that day they conduct a fake raid at the office of Victim and they told their identity as officials of Chandigarh Cyber Crime Branch. They were super confident of achieving their goal of getting 5 lacs without being caught ever. PROFILES OF ACCUSED PERSONS Raj Kumar Chauhan @ Sonu R/o Shyam Nagar Okhla Ph-3 Delhi (Age-28 Years). He completed graduation from Delhi University in 2015 and thereafter did the course of Computer Hardware and Networking from PUSA Institute Delhi. Rahul R/o Shyam Nagar Okhla Ph-3 Delhi (Age-33 Years). He studied upto class 12th. Santosh Singh R/o Harkesh Nagar Okhla Ph-2 Delhi (Age-32 Years). He studies up to class 10th. Gaurav R/o Brij Vihar Distt. Ghaziabad, U.P. (Age-29 yrs).He is graduate and joined private job. RECOVERY:- 1Dummy Pistol One Knife Clothes weared by accused at the time of incident 1 WagonR Car (White)used to carry the victim. Some documents and I-cards One Laptop of Victim Eight Mobile Phones of Victim and accused Plastic Tape, Stamp Pad, Iron Pipe, Plastic Lock Band & other items Cash Rs. 89,000/- of Ransom Money The entire operation was conducted with exemplary zeal and high level of professionalism. The team displayed great sense of duty, dedication and discipline. It was due to the sincere commitment of each team member that the victim was successfully and safely rescued. Further investigation of the case is in progress.
