New Delhi : The 40th edition of AAHAR, India’s premier international food and hospitality fair, was inaugurated today at Bharat Mandapam by Hon’ble Union Minister of Commerce & Industry Shri Piyush Goyal. The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of H.E. Antonio Enrico Bartoli, Ambassador of Italy to India, and Amb. Jawed Ashraf, Chairman of the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO).
This milestone edition marks four decades of AAHAR’s journey as one of the most influential platforms for the global food and hospitality ecosystem. What began as a modest exhibition has now evolved into a world-class B2B trade fair, attracting industry leaders, innovators, and buyers from across the globe.

A Global Gathering of Innovation
AAHAR 2026 brings together more than 1,800 exhibitors from 17 countries, showcasing cutting-edge products, technologies, and services that are shaping the future of food and hospitality. Italy, participating as the Partner Country for the first time, highlights the growing collaboration between India and the European Union in gourmet foods, hospitality technologies, and food processing.
Visitors can explore a diverse range of innovations — from food products and beverages to advanced packaging solutions, cold chain technologies, and hospitality infrastructure. The exhibition also features curated industry pavilions such as the APEDA Pavilion, MoFPI Pavilion, ICMA Pavilion, and FIFI Pavilion, each spotlighting specialized segments of the industry.
A Platform for Collaboration and Growth
Speaking at the curtain raiser, ITPO Chairman Amb. Jawed Ashraf emphasized the importance of the food and hospitality sector as one of India’s fastest-growing industries. Driven by favorable demographics, rising incomes, and evolving lifestyles, the sector is poised for exponential growth. India’s expanding food processing industry, coupled with new Free Trade Agreements, is expected to open fresh opportunities for farmers, MSMEs, and exporters.
AAHAR serves as a bridge between domestic producers and international buyers, fostering collaborations that extend beyond borders. With participation from countries including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Thailand, and many more, the exhibition underscores India’s growing role in the global food trade.
Enhancing Visitor Experience
To mark its 40th edition, ITPO has launched the AAHAR 2026 Mobile App, designed to enhance exhibitor and visitor engagement. The app offers a digital exhibitor directory, interactive floor plans, smart search filters, and real-time notifications. Business visitors can schedule B2B meetings seamlessly, ensuring that networking opportunities are maximized during the five-day event.
Entry to the exhibition is facilitated through online registration, with designated gates ensuring smooth access for both visitors and exhibitors. The fair remains open daily from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM for business visitors, and from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM for exhibitors.
Celebrating 40 Years of Excellence
Beyond the exhibition halls, AAHAR 2026 offers a vibrant lineup of ancillary activities, including culinary competitions, hospitality challenges, and industry seminars. Culinary Art India 2026 promises to be a highlight, showcasing the creativity and skill of chefs from across the country.
The event is not just a trade fair — it is a celebration of India’s journey in food and hospitality over the past four decades. From humble beginnings to becoming a global hub for innovation and collaboration, AAHAR has consistently set new benchmarks for industry engagement.
