Goa has to regain its popularity as an ideal destination for spiritual tourism also, due to its ancient cultural heritage. Now, we have to focus on- “Vikas ke Sath Virasat” especially when India is emerging as a global economic power envisioned by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi under “Viksit Bharat @ 2047” pointed out by the Hon’ble Minister of Food Processing Industries Govt of India, Shri Chirag Paswan at Goa Spiritual Festival (February 19-24, 2026). Along with the eminent saints, He also participated in auspicious ‘Samudra Aarti’ which was an integral part of Goa Spiritual Festival in Calangute Goa. The Hon’ble Minister was welcomed by HH Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swamiji along with other revered saints and the hon’ble minister of Tourism Goa, Shri Rohan Khaunte.
Complimenting the organisers, Satguru Foundation for holding six-day event, the Union Cabinet Minister reinforced that initiatives such as holding Goa Spiritual Festival consolidates its tourism brand of the state with new dimension i.e; spiritual tourism. While appreciating the state govt. for extending the meaningful support for this event, he pointed out that now the time has come to attract Indian and foreigners for spiritual tourism and holistic wellness of the humanity altogether. This is an effort to preserve and protect our cultural heritage especially for new generation, which is drifting away from India’s actual identity due to western influence.
Hon’ble Minister mentioned that he is not attending the function in the capacity as a Minister but as a devotee. He asked the people to visit Goa not only for the entertainment but visit Goa
for its cultural and religious identity.
Speaking on the occasion Mahant Ravindran Puriji said that Goa is a land of Lord Parshuram. It is a matter of appreciation that Goa is evolving as Yog Bhoomi instead of Bhog Bhumi.
Unprecedented efforts of the state government are commendable in infra structure development and preserving of ancient legacy of the state, he added.
Welcoming the guests, HH Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swami expressed his happiness over the response received from the State Government and a large number spiritual Gurus and Goans in the festival. He stressed upon the need to inculcate spiritual values among the new generation and holistic development of the people. He said that Goa is land of “Gaumata and Gau-Culture” which is relevant in the contemporary age of AI in view of the adverse impact of AI driven new technologies. He conveyed special appreciation to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa Dr. Pramod Sawant for his outstanding contribution not only in socio-economic development of the state but also in protecting spiritual heritage.
